Ford Expedition Retrofit

Northwest Emergency Vehicle Upfitters completed a retrofit for the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, upgrading their Ford Expedition with emergency lighting and control equipment designed to support the demands of daily law enforcement operations.

The project focused on adding six emergency lights and a siren controller, integrating the equipment into the existing vehicle while maintaining a clean, functional installation.

The Retrofit

Adding Capability Without Starting Over

A retrofit allows departments to make the most of vehicles they already have while adding the equipment needed for the job.

For the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Northwest integrated new emergency equipment into the existing Ford Expedition, creating a more capable response vehicle while working within the vehicle's existing configuration.

Equipment & Installation Highlights

Six Emergency Lights

Six emergency lights were integrated into the Ford Expedition to provide additional visibility and warning capability when responding to calls or operating in emergency situations.

Integrated Emergency Control

A siren controller was installed to provide officers with accessible control of the vehicle’s emergency warning equipment.

Designed Around the Vehicle

The equipment was integrated into the existing Expedition with attention to placement, accessibility, and a clean finished appearance.

Retrofit Doesn't Mean Compromise

Every retrofit comes with its own considerations. Existing vehicle components, available space, equipment placement, and officer accessibility all need to be taken into account.

Our team works within those constraints to create an installation that is functional, organized, and built to perform.
